Being Forty More

LESS SCROLLING. MORE MAKING | Because life is too short to stop doing things just for you.

It Started at 44.

When I turned 44, I realized something: Somewhere between raising three kids, managing schedules, and keeping life moving, I'd stopped making time for the things that made me happy.

Not because I didn't want to. I just wasn't making it a priority.

And yet, somehow, I always found time to scroll.

Sound familiar?

So I decided to make a change. Nothing dramatic, just a little more intention about how I spent my time.

Less scrolling. More creating.

I picked up a needle, started stitching, and rediscovered how good it feels to make something with my own two hands.

And that's how Being Forty More was born.

From Making Time to Making Things.

Here's what I discovered: I didn't need hours of uninterrupted free time to be creative.

Fifteen minutes in the carpool line? Perfect for a few stitches.

An evening on the couch? Another chance to make something.

Those little pockets of time started adding up. And before I knew it, I had something to show for them.

Turns out, creating something feels a whole lot better than scrolling past everything.

But there was one thing about needlepoint that drove me a little crazy.

The finishing.

I loved stitching, but I didn't love the idea of sending everything off to a professional finisher, waiting months, and spending more money just to enjoy what I'd made.

I wanted to actually use my creations.

So I started looking for another way.

Needlepoint Beyond the Canvas.

That's where Being Forty More comes in.

I've curated colorful, customizable pieces that make it easy to turn your needlepoint into something you can wear, carry, display, or share.

Think stitchable bags, statement cuffs, trays, ice buckets, and clever DIY finishing solutions.

No professional finisher. No months of waiting. Just a little creativity and something fabulous to show for it.

Whether you're a lifelong stitcher or just picking up a needle for the first time, my goal is simple: make creating feel approachable, fun, and worth squeezing into your day.

Because you don't need to be an expert. You don't need a dedicated craft room. And you definitely don't need hours of free time.

You just need to start.

More Than a Store. A Little Movement.

Being Forty More isn't really about turning 40. Or 44.

It's about realizing that whatever age or stage of life you're in, there's always room for a little more YOU.

More creativity. More curiosity. More color. More joy.

And maybe a little less mindless scrolling.

So welcome! I'm glad you're here.

Now, let's make something. πŸ’—

Creation over consumption. One stitch at a time.
